No, VentureTemp heated apparel is not made with fire-retardant materials. The fabrics and heating elements are engineered with safety in mind, and the batteries are UL certified, but the garments themselves do not have fire-resistant properties. The technology is safe when used as directed; however, the apparel should never be placed near open flames or high-heat sources.
